How we fish:

Capt. Greg prides himself in his ability to pursue fish in a variety of ways. Throughout the year he will employ trolling, chumming, live lining, and jigging techniques for fish based on what method is most productive at the time. Please feel free to discuss your fishing goals with Greg prior to the trip so that he may make appropriate arrangements.

What we supply:

We will supply everything needed to fish. This includes rods, reels, tackle, licenses, bait, and ice for the fish cooler on board. If you want to bring your own fishing equipment, please check with the captain in advance as to not bring unnecessary gear.

Chesapeake Bay Sportfishing Charters

Best rockfish (striped bass) chances:

  • Trolling for trophy fish- April and May in the spring and November and December in the fall
  • Light tackle chunking/chumming - May and June
  • Light Tackle Live lining spot  or eels- June through December
  • Light tackle jigging / casting - Throughout the year but focus on it September through December when the fish school up outside the rivers. Will combine with other methods when limits have been reached

Best bottom fishing trips for children are on summer weekday evenings when boat traffic is light and winds lie down. (steady action - can be combined with boat ride in creeks and rivers)
